Day 1: Good morning HCM City Vietnam

Chao Ban! Welcome to HCM City, we meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel for check-in. Today is free at your leisure to rest or explore, discovering your own first impressions of Vietnam (depending on what time you arrive). Overnight in HCM City.

Day 2: Hochiminh city tour

Get started at 8:30 AM from your hotel. This full day of sight-seeing begins with a glimpse of downtown HCM City and the Binh Tay Market in Cho Lon, with stop over at Thien Hau - a 150 year old Chinese Temple. Visits to a Lacquer-wares workshop and the Jade Emperor Pagoda as well. In the afternoon visit the War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office.  Tour ends at your hotel around 5:30 PM.

Day 3: Tay Ninh and Cu Chi tunnels

Departing HCM City at 8:00 AM from your hotel for a morning excursion to Tay Ninh and the Great Cao Dai Temple (a place to worship a mixture of Buddhism, Confucius, Taoism, Hinduism and Christianity). Take part in the noon mass at the temple (1 hour). Lunch in Tay Ninh.

In the afternoon we visit the Cu Chi outdoor museum to learn about the infamous tunnel systems of the Viet Cong.

Take this opportunity to get a unique understanding of the guerillas underground fighting strategies during the war. Crawl through 50 to 100 meters of the 200 km tunnel system if you dare. On the way back to HCM City visit a local rice paper workshops and take in views of the Vietnam countryside. We’ll drop you off at your hotel around  5:30 PM. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 4: HCM City – Cat Tien National Park

We start at 6:30 AM from your hotel and head to Cat Tien National Park. After crossing the Dong Nai River, we check-in at the park, meet our local guide then break for lunch. After lunch we take a short army jeep ride (20’) before beginning our hike through the old forests and the crocodile lake, visit around and trek back to the entrance for jeep ride back to the long house at around 7:00 PM. Dinner and sleep at the traditional long house in Ta Lai.

Day 5: Cat Tien – HCM City

Our breakfast is at 7.30 AM before our today’s hike. Starting from the long house, our local guide leads you in the jungle of Cat Tien National Park. After climbing up to a dormant volcano experiencing Tarzan’s means of transport, you reach the highlight trek - the Bat Cave! Created by eruption of ancient volcanoes, this caves ideal places to observe bats and other nocturnal wildlife.

Back to the long house at noon for lunch before hitting our road back to HCM City, we are back to your hotel by around 5:00 PM (this is by traffic condition).

Day 6: HCM City, biking the fertile Mekong Delta – Vinh Long

At 8:00 AM, we pick you up from your hotel in HCM City and head to My Tho village (about 2 hours) for our first boat trip. Take part in some late morning drifting down the bustling branches of the Mekong Delta and into her tranquil canals. The first stop is on one of the area's many islands to sightsee. Visit a traditional Mekong Delta house & kitchen; indulge is some seasonal fruit along with some local tea and fresh honey; visit a local rice wine distillery for wine tasting; then paddle one of the small sampans along the smaller waterways.

Break for lunch after this jam packed morning, then a short rest, followed by a leisurely afternoon bicycle ride (2 hours) on small dirt roads and walking bridges. Reach a local ferry crossing and then onto to Cai Be where we board a touring boat to the floating market and cruise over the mighty Mekong River. Our day ends at Binh Hoa Phuoc & An Binh Island where you can take in a great sunset view from the shores of the Mekong. Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse on island.

Day 7: Vinh Long – Chau Doc

At 6:30 AM, we start for a boat trip to Cai Rang floating market, then we have some distance to cover. First a cruise, then a walk on a quiet country road taking in the magnificent scenery and getting a little bit closer to the locals as they go about their daily routine. In the afternoon, we head back to HCM City. We drop you at the same hotel by 6:00 PM.

Day 8: Chau Doc – Can Tho

Up at 8:00 AM for an early cruise to an amazing riverside market. Be witness to this smorgasbord of sounds, colours and smells. Also cruise through the floating village and their fish farms. Discover the ethnic Cham village with its famous Mubarak Mosque and watch the locals go about their traditional weaving. We cycle to Cambodia border with a stop over Tra Su natural reserve, see Khmer pagoda enroute. Then transfer to Can Tho for check in hotel then dinner and stay at your hotel.

Day 9: Can Tho – Rach Gia

Morning boat trip to the interesting and chaotic Cai Rang Floating Market, then up a quiet canal for more cruising. Back on the bikes (about 2 hours) to enjoy the beautiful Mekong Delta scenery meeting the locals (many on bicycle too). After lunch, we transfer you to Rach Gia. Arrive in Rach Gia at the late afternoon (by 17:00). Check in hotel and then you are free, enjoy the dinner on your own. Stay overnight in Rach Gia.

Day 10: Rach Gia, morning speed boat to Phu Quoc

Have breakfast at hotel, then you will walk to the harbor which is close to your hotel. You will take the morning speed boat to Phu Quoc.

Arrive in Phu Quoc at noon time. Our driver there will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

Check in hotel and then you will be free to relax on the beach.

Day 11, 12, 13: Phu Quoc, relax on the beach

These days are your free to relax on the beach or join the water sports on your own there. Stay overnight at the same resort.

Inclusion: Breakfast, hotel.

 

Day 14: Phu Quoc, fly back HCM City - departure

Breakfast at hotel. Depending on your international flight, we will book for you the suitable flight back Hochiminh city, then take the connecting flight back home. You will be transfer to the airport two hours before departure time for the flight back HCM city. Your tour finishes with full of memories.

ORGANISATION

Tour guide: English speaking guides (on sites)

Hotel: We use 3star standard hotels in the cities/town and 4star resorts in Phu Quoc, double/twin shared room (s). Upgrade is available on request. Check – in: 14:00; out: 12:00 noon. Early check in if it is subject to availability.

Car/Van Quality: Using new AC car or van depending on your group size.

Meals: Vietnam foods and seafoods. If you have any allergies, special requests or if you are on a special diet please let us know. We will arrange it for you in advance.

What to Bring: Passport, change of clothes, sunglasses and hat, toiletries, sunblock, insect repellent, flashlights, good sport shoes, personal first aid kit and medicines, small VND notes for buying drinks. If you feel the need then sleeping bags and a cable lock for your bags is recommended.

Cycling times are just estimated and may change depending on your personal fitness and weather.
