From this noodles, it became a famous noodle soup called “hutiu”. We break for lunch at a local restaurant in MyTho city. Following lunch, we travel to Cai Lay where we collect our bicycles and enjoy a leisurely, two-hour afternoon bicycle ride on peaceful country lanes and quiet roads that pass through local villages and along canals. This offers you several stops on the route seeing seasonal fruits at the tropical gardens such as rambutan, durian, longan, jackfruit, etc...(and they do taste fresh, just off the tree!), perhaps watching farmers harvesting beans, stopping at a market to buy fruit, etc… Arriving in Cai Be, pick up your night backpack, we get on board to cruise over 1.5km-wide Mekong river to BinhHoaPhuoc Island. Time to enjoy spectacular sunsets on the Mekong. Dinner and spend the night in an eco-guesthoue on island.

(For novice cyclist, there is a shorter cycling route to Cai Be, where we board small sampans and paddle along narrow arroyos (waterways), discover the life on island. Back on our main boat and we cruise to our eco guesthouse on island. However, the possibility of sampan paddling trip depends on the river tide, please discuss with our guide during your lunch time).
