AM: At 8.00, our guide and driver welcome you at your hotel, and start the cycling route to Thuy Bieu village located in the suburb of Hue city. On the way, you will pay a visit to the relic of Tiger Fighting Arena – “Ho Quyen” where elephants and tigers fighted against for the entertainment of the Emperors and royal family in the past. Continue to the Long Chau Temple nearby, known as “Dien Voi Re” or Palace of the Crying Elephants, listen to the story of the palaces where were built to worship the kings’ elephants died in the wars. Keep pedaling to visit the communal houses, ancient temples and local market to learn more about the history and cultural features of the village. You will have chance to visit a local house where you can get to know how traditional incense sticks are made for using. Then visit workshops where traditional silk painting & votive paper offering are made for more experience. Take a break at a traditional garden house and have lunch with local dishes prepared by the host family.
PM: Cycle to the local boat pier, take your bike on boat trip across the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda – the oldest pagoda in Hue, admire its ancient architecture, and learn more about the spiritual life of locals. Continue on your bike to the Citadel where Nguyen Dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945, within numerous attractive places and buildings including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Purple Forbidden City. Visit Dong Ba Market to experience trading activities in the largest market in Hue and get a glimpse of the local lifestyle. Ride a bike back to the city center and end the tour at your hotel.

Car/van: Use new AC car or van depending on your group size.
Meals: Vietnamese foods at a local house. If you have any allergies, special requests or if you are on a special diet please let us know. We will arrange it for you in advance.
Communication: Expect warm, friendly welcomes and hellos from the local people when you ride through the small communities and visit the local homes. If you want to bring small gifts, things like note books, books, pens, pencils, toys, balloons, for example, are recommended.
PREPARATION OF THE CUSTOMER:
Seasonal preparation: The best time to travel in Vietnam is between September and April. The temperatures are more comfortable in this period and the rain season in the summer (May to October) will be avoided.
What to bring: We recommend that riders bring a small day bag with sun block, sunglasses, camera and insect repellent. Good sport shoes and biking shorts are suggested. Sandals are not recommended. Please remember to pack light.

CYCLING INFORMATION:
Age: The age restriction for cycling is 6 years. Younger children can join the trip, but will be carried in an attachment of the bike suitable for children.
Bike: We use local bikes.
Cycling time: The cycling time is just approximate and depends on our speed and the weather.
Route: The cycling route can be changed due to external circumstances such as weather (the rain season between June and October can cause muddy paths which can become dangerous). Nevertheless, this should not discourage you as we will find proper alternatives.
