CYCLING CUC PHUONG & NINH BINH 2DAYS 1NIGHT

Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong Nat’l Park

Pickup at your hotel at 8:00 am. Scenic drive of about 100 km on a good road by mini-van to Ninh Binh (~2.5 hours). We start cycling on countryside roads onto Hoa Lu and the ancient 10^th century citadel. We continue our ride through the limestone peaks to Tam Coc, passing rice paddies and rural villages. In Tam Coc lunch is served at a local restaurant with a view over the boat pier; a great chance for photos here.

A short transfer by van and we continue our bike ride exploring more of Ninh Binh for about 2 hours. Cuc Phuong National Park is our destination. Upon reaching the park we will load the bikes back on the van and transfer to the park center for the night. Dinner and overnight in the simple bungalows there.

Day 2: Cuc Phuong - Van Long – Hanoi

Breakfast than morning exercises cycling up-hill further into the jungles. Today will be harder than yesterday but it’s worth it! Amazing natural surroundings that will entice possible short walks to learn more about plants and animals before we drive back to the gate for a visit to the Primates Rescue Center. Leave the Rescue Center by van for Van Long. Lunch, then a local

bamboo boat trip (1.5 hours) visiting the  fascinating swampland of the Nature Reserve and the karst landscape of Van Long. Great bird spotting and possibilities to see the Delacur langur.

Transfer back to Hanoi around 18:00.

What to bring:  Passport, change & hat, toiletries, sun-block, insect repellent, sunglasses & hat with large brim for boat rowing or umbrella.

Notes:
- Bungalow condition is very simple and just at standard level, twin shared room.

- Meals: Vietnamese food.

- Guide: English speaking guide.

- Proper wear is needed to visit the temples (long pants and covered shoulders)
